A horrible back pain would keep seven-year-old Braden up each night. After several trips to the doctors and numerous tests, Braden was diagnosed with neuroblastoma. "The day we found out, our world stopped,” said his mom, Kristin.
The toughest part for Braden was missing the day to day life of being a kid. Instead of being with his siblings or at school, he endured six rounds of chemo, a stem cell transplant, anti-body therapies and countless surgeries.
This past spring, Braden got a much needed break when his wish to go to LEGOLAND™ came true. Since Braden hadn’t been on a trip with his family before, this time together was extremely special. During his trip to LEGOLAND™, Braden only had to worry about being a kid. “I never gave up, even during the toughest things and this makes it all worth it,” Braden said.
Braden’s wish truly was the light at the end of the tunnel for Braden. “Braden’s wish gave us all something positive to focus on,” Kristin said. “It was an experience of a lifetime for a family with a lifetime of family memories.”
