One of greatest loves in Ben’s life is Legos. Eleven-year-old Ben, who is battling a life-threatening immunodeficiency disorder, spends countless hours building various Legos masterpiece creations. His passion for Legos inspired his wish to go to Legoland in Denmark.
Ben’s wish came true with the help of Make-A-Wish® Minnesota this past May. Ben reveled in Legoland. He marveled at the Lego structures at the park and had a wonderful time on the rides as well - particularly the roller coasters. Ben also got a behind-the-scene tour of the Legoland factory. He got to see the creation of the mini figures from the start of the process to the point of shipping. Ben impressed the tour guide with his knowledge of the figures they were making. He also got a sneak preview of some of the sets that have yet to come out. Ben bought a number of Lego sets, including a life-like R2D2!
“Words can truly not begin to express what an amazing gift you have provided Ben. From beginning to end, the experience brought him incredible joy,” said his parents, Jamie and Bill. “As we left, Ben cried, because it was the best experience of his life and he didn’t want to leave. Thank you for the incredible gift you gave our son (and the rest of us). You brought a great deal of joy into his life.”
