Supporting the community with needs greater than their own is a critical part of JL Buchanan’s mission and culture. JLB, a retail consulting firm for brands and suppliers to Target stores, has supported Make-A-Wish Minnesota through JLB’s Give Campaign since 2016.
The JLB team supports Make-A-Wish Minnesota in various ways including sharing their time, resources, and providing financial contributions. The company has sponsored wishes, hosted unforgettable send-off parties for wish kids, and attended events such as Wish Ball, Whiskey and Wishes, and Women, Wine, and Wishes.
“We are passionate about helping kids in many ways as we have many young parents on our team as well as people on the team whose lives have been impacted by cancer or a critical illness. We love helping provide these kids hope and being a bright spot in their difficult journey,” said Lana Jones, VP of Talent + Culture. The JLB team especially loves putting their amazing creative talents and relationship skills to the test to wow wish kids and families through memorable send-off parties.
“Being a service organization, giving to others makes our team feel great! We also had a person recently join our team whose child was the beneficiary of a wish being granted through Make-A-Wish. It makes us feel even better, and more connected, to the organization when the cause has hit so close to home,” Jones said. “Make-A-Wish is a wonderful cause that is making a difference in the lives of people that are going through a lot. There are so many ways you can get involved – it’s hard not to find a way that will work for the company or its team.”
