As travel costs rise and more children’s wishes involve air travel, the need for donated airline miles is greater than ever.
Make-A-Wish Minnesota is thrilled to team up with Thrifty Traveler, a Minnesota-based travel and flight website, to help grant travel wishes for Minnesota kids with critical illnesses. Through the activation of a virtual airline miles drive and other unique opportunities, Thrifty Traveler’s Wishes in Flight Airline Miles Drive will be a platform for individuals and the business community to get involved in granting wishes.
"The ability to travel, see more of the world and enjoy time away with your loved ones is so important. It's why we do what we do," said Jared Kamrowski, Thrifty Traveler's founder and CEO. "That's why Thrifty Traveler is so excited to partner with Make-A-Wish Minnesota for the Wishes in Flight drive because no one needs that dose of hope and joy more than kids with critical illnesses and their families."
"We're all about teaching readers to use their points and miles wisely. And we can't think of a better use of airline miles than to give a struggling child a chance to get out of their hospital room or escape from the shadow of painful treatments to explore and have fun," Kamrowski said.
The Wishes in Flight Airline Miles Drive planned for February 24-March 1 hopes to raise 2 million airline miles to grant wishes. Be sure to follow Make-A-Wish Minnesota and Thrifty Traveler on social media for exciting details and inspiring wish stories.
Thank you to Thrifty Traveler for helping wishes take flight for Minnesota wish kids.
