Minneapolis-based UnitedHealth Group is a health and well-being company dedicated to making health care work better. UnitedHealth Group (UHG) serves approximately 70 million individuals nationwide, and currently employs 150,000 people in 21 countries.
Since its founding in 1999, the United Health Foundation has provided information to support decisions that lead to healthier communities, supported activities that expand access to quality health care services and partnered with others to improve the well-being of communities.
Since becoming a national sponsor of Make-A-Wish in 2007, UHG employees have helped make wishes come true by contributing through their annual Workplace Giving Campaign. Donations made by employees are matched by the United Health Foundation, and have resulted in more than $16 million in support over the past nine years.
UHG also supports Minnesota wishes through a variety of other avenues. The company’s headquarters in Eden Prairie, MN has provided space to hold events including wish reveal parties, meetings and more. Staff members, Andrew MacKenzie and Matt Peterson, have also helped grant wishes by serving on the Make-A-Wish Minnesota Board of Directors.
Thank you also to UHG for supporting Make-A-Wish Minnesota through its annual employee giving campaign, service on the Board of Directors and more!
