The Minnesota Food Truck Association is a group of over 60 food trucks gathered together to promote food truck awareness, advocate for food truck rights, and promote the general awesomeness of the blossoming Minnesota food truck scene.
The Minnesota Food Truck Association has been instrumental in helping grant a wish for a local boy, Lucas, this summer. Through this partnership, the Minnesota Food Truck Association has connected Make-A-Wish Minnesota with 9 trucks who have been serving food throughout the Twin Cities at events associated with the wish.
As part of Lucas’ wish, three trucks have served food to parishioners at Lucas’ church; two trucks fed all precincts of the Minneapolis Police Department; one truck dished it up for seniors at his grandma’s independent living center and four trucks served patients, families and staff at Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota. Still to come is serving food at a homeless shelter as well as the teachers and staff at Lucas’ school. To date, the trucks have served over 2,000 meals!
Make-A-Wish Minnesota is looking forward to partnering with the Minnesota Food Truck Association at a rally in late October!
