Make-A-Wish^® Minnesota is thrilled to recognize UnitedHealthcare and their efforts on behalf of Minnesota wish children. Since 2007, UHC and its employees have sponsored more than 1,250 wishes through their alliance with Make-A-Wish nationally, including 33 wishes this year alone in Minnesota!

We are excited to work with UHC again this year for the 2012 Giving Campaign, Make Change, featuring events at their offices across the Twin Cities in September. These events support the company’s workplace giving program and offer the employees the opportunity to meet with giving partners, including Make-A-Wish, as they make their annual giving decisions. Funds generated from the employee contributions and the corporate match are in addition to the annual commitment UHC has made to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.

Beyond the incredible financial impact on our mission, UHC employees have been invaluable volunteers participating in events, wish granting, planning sendoff parties for wish children and serving on our Board of Directors. Locally, volunteers have recently participated in wish send off for Carter, who wished to go to the Wisconsin Dells, by hosting a beach-themed party and also sent Ameily off on her wish - a Mall of America shopping spree - in red carpet style after a spa breakfast! We thank UHC and its employees for their continued support of our mission and all that they do to share the power of wish® nationally and especially in our local community!
